We closed the mission after lunch today and honored all the volunteers that helped during the week. Our Doctors saw over 1300 patients during the four days and our favorite medicine seemed to be the vitamins - our favorite surgery was a circumsicion and our favorite dental was "just pull it out" as our patient would never be able to afford fillings.
After the mission we had a little down time, then off to visit the Ambal grave site, a chapel service to celebrate with the reading of the rosary (with some neat traditions - the little girls all went up to the altar and during a specific verse in the song would thrown flower petals in the air.) and then finally off to Maricar Aggari's house where we were treated to a true Filipino buffet. Right now it is 11:30 and we are counting the meds and closing it up.
Tomorrow we will go to another church to have a service for Myrna Ambal Cuevas - a meal - and then off to do some shopping.
Saturday we head home - hopefully the plane ride home will be uneventful. I am looking forward to getting home and seeing Bob and the family.
