BEAUTIFUL CEREMONY

Today was Elijah's final trip to the Hospicio.  Dustin, Alicia and Kat were entrusted with the care and raising of Elijah by the sisters of the Daughter of Charity.  Sister Corrie greeted us and had her first chance to see Kat all grown and to give one of her favorite little ones some special treats.

What a beautiful ceremony.  RC, one of Elijah's care givers gave a beautiful speech, there was a slide show of pics from the time Elijah arrived at the Hospicio until today and Sister Corrie gave a speech talking about this precious little one.  Then Dustin and company were called on to say a few words - Dustin did the family proud and Alicia followed and I, of course, sat in the pew crying.  (That has been my job here in the Philippines - the "crying lady").  Following that there were tons of pics - with the sisters, with the staff, with his dormitory.

The despidida took place right after the ceremony.  Spaghetti and mamon (baked biscuits).  Kat helped hand out little treat bags to the little ones and my tub of tootsie rolls will be saved for a later time.

Now for some relaxation - Elijah is napping right now - and then tomorrow it is the visit to ICAB.  

Thought you'd also appreciate the fact that the trip to the mall yesterday afternoon to get a stroller met with almost disaster - it became apparent that he doesn't like strollers, hasn't been in a stroller, or he associates the stroller with something else.  That will be a good trick for the kids to get him to cooperate and get in it.  The next pic - on the carousel - no fear there....OK, horse that goes around - stroller where I get pushed - I'd be more afraid of the darn horse.
