Today we will hold our last mission day. It was great having a break yesterday. We went to the hot mineral springs in Calamba. The water was warm and so relaxing - almost too hot for the weather, but it was good to relax a bit.
The feeding of the school children yesterday was absolutely wonderful. Arroz caldo (chicken & rice soup) with a boiled egg, was fed to all of them. They loved it, especially the special treat bag that was provided by the volunteers which included a toy, candy & cookies. Feeding 500 in one half hour had all of us sweating again. Can't wait for you to see their classroom - again, school children in the US please be thankful for a one seat desk and beautiful classrooms.
