Catching up with Kat's life.

Stopped at Jollibee (Philippines McDonalds) to order the lunch for the 40 toddlers.  Pancit polabok & pineapple juice.  Then stopped at Pure Gold to pick up some ice cream and cones.  Then we were off to Hospicio.  Took some time to see Sister Corrie who took the time to look at Kat's recent photo book, took me to the social workers area where they all poured over the book and then it was on to the nursery to see the little ones and then to the toddlers for lunch.

The nursery

All of them, so sweet, several waiting for their adoptive parents to pick them up.  They sat and ate, when they finished all their food they could have their juice and then when that was done they could have their ice cream.  I took the time to help feed some of them, dish out the ice cream and then wipe their faces - hoping one of the ones I was communicating with would soon be ours.  It was so amazing that each one would wait for their next item - no tears, no screamng - just waiting until they were served.  One little boy reminded me so much of our Kat - holding tight with items in both hands.

The only down side of the day was hearing that the nursery floor was sinking - Hospicio is located on an island in the middle of the river - when it floods it takes its toll and I guess after 125 years it is deteriorating.  The infants have had to be moved to 3rd floor of the facility.
